N.E.R.D. Youth Services was founded on the belief that education is the key to unlocking the potential in every young person. From humble beginnings coaching a basketball team of teenage youth in Gary, IN, we have grown to become an established organization that provides a variety of programs and services to empower students to achieve their academic and personal goals.
Our programs and services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each student and are complemented by our highly trained and experienced coaches. It is our mission to change the lives of young people, one student at a time, by providing them with a solid foundation in education.

Community leader, Cedric Washington brought PreVenture to a local middle school and implemented PreVenture with 6th, 7th and 8th grade students., guiding though discussions and exercises aimed at developing essential life skills and coping mechanisms.

Participants enthusiastically embraced the skills taught by Cedric, applying them to real-life situations with positive results.

Cedric’s vision extends beyond the classroom, he aims to increase the rollout of The PreVenture Program in his after-school mentorship program as well.
